The VOX Magnesium Aluminium Voyage Box is the flagship of the VOX range and the founding product of Vox Journey. A 28-inch check-in hardshell built from premium magnesium-aluminium alloy — the same material class used by Tumi’s 19 Degree line and Rimowa’s Original Cabin — engineered in Singapore and sold direct.
At S$690 retail (S$549 founders’ price), it sits at roughly one-third the cost of comparable aluminium-alloy luggage from international brands. The alloy is the same. The badge premium isn’t ours to charge.
Why magnesium aluminium
Most luggage shells are made from one of three materials: ABS (cheap, brittle), polycarbonate (light, plastic feel), or aluminium alloy (premium, hardware-tool feel). Magnesium aluminium alloy is the premium category. It’s denser than polycarbonate, dents instead of cracks, and develops a patina over years of travel that polycarbonate never will.
It’s also significantly more expensive to manufacture — which is why most travellers only encounter it on bags priced above S$1,400. The VOX Magnesium Aluminium Voyage Box uses the same material class at a price that respects your travel budget.
