The short version

Daniel and Marica are designers. For two decades their working lives were spent on mission-critical transit cases — the kind that carry equipment for military and law enforcement agencies, where a case failing is not an inconvenience but a problem with consequences. They know what a hinge does under load. They know which corner gives first.

They also travelled constantly, for work and for the pleasure of it. Which is how a professional problem became a personal one.

The trip home is never the trip out

Every traveller knows the asymmetry. You leave with a case packed to a standard you are quietly proud of. You come home with the same case holding a landslide — things pushed into loose packing cubes, a ziplock bag doing work no ziplock bag should do, one shoe somewhere near the top. It is a small indignity, repeated for a lifetime, and it is not the traveller's fault. It is a design failure that luggage has collectively agreed not to solve.

The failure nobody advertises

Working around airlines, Daniel and Marica heard the other story too — the one that does not make it into the brochure. Premium cases splitting along the seam somewhere between the check-in desk and the carousel. Contents spilling onto a conveyor belt in front of strangers. Expensive luggage is not the same thing as luggage that survives being handled by people who are not paid to be gentle with it.

So they built the case they kept describing to each other

Not a reinvention — a correction. An organiser set that comes with the bag, so the packing system is not an afterthought you buy separately and lose. A double zipper built to resist splitting, because the seam is where the humiliation happens. A flat top and a stackable form, because luggage spends more of its life in a cupboard than on a carousel. Recycled, lightweight materials, because the weight you carry should be your things, not the box around them.

What they refused to build: luggage priced for the badge rather than the bag, and luggage crowded with features that photograph well and solve nothing. Selling direct is how that arithmetic works — no distributor margin, no retail markup, no premium extracted for a logo.

The name

VOX is a portmanteau — voyage and box. A case for going somewhere. It was conceived by a travelling couple for other people who travel, which is a smaller and more useful ambition than most luggage brands admit to.

What we make

Vox Journey's launch collection is the existing VOX range:

• VOX Magnesium Aluminium Voyage Box, 28-inch check-in (S$690 retail / S$590 founders'). Premium aluminium-alloy hardshell — the same material class as Tumi 19 Degree and Rimowa Original, sold at a fraction of the price because we don't charge for the badge.
• VOX RPET Voyage Box, 28-inch check-in (S$390 retail / S$290 founders'). A 3D-moulded case in advanced engineered RPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate), with a scratch-resistant texture, an anti-theft double zipper and 5 cm of expansion.

A new polycarbonate range and additional sizes (cabin 55cm, medium 66cm) follow later in 2026.

Who we are

Two people, and we'd rather say so than pretend to be a corporation:

• Daniel and Marica — the founders. Two decades in mission-critical transit cases, and the design of every VOX Voyage Box.

We are not going to invent heritage we do not have. What we will tell you is that the people who designed this range spent twenty years making cases that were not permitted to fail, and that every feature on a Voyage Box is there because a real trip asked for it.

How we're different from the rest of the luggage market

• vs Samsonite — comparable build, modern direct-brand experience, no retail mark-up
• vs Tumi / Rimowa — same aluminium-alloy material class at 30–40% of the price; the badge premium is theirs to charge, not ours to pass on
• vs Away / July — no influencer budget priced into the bag; what you pay for is the case, not the campaign

Where Vox Journey is made

Designed in Singapore. Manufactured in vetted facilities across Asia, selected for their experience with high-grade magnesium aluminium alloy moulding and RPET fabric construction. We don't claim "made in Singapore" because that would be misleading — and Vox Journey is built on telling the truth about the product.

Our warranty, plainly

Five years on the shell and wheels, starting from your purchase date. Register your bag at purchase. We're finalising how servicing is handled and will publish the full terms before the launch collection opens — we'd rather leave this blank for now than promise something we haven't nailed down.
